Local Ministry Opportunities (International Relief Mission from Home)
Since January 14, a medical evacuation operation has been underway in which the State of Florida has received several hundred Haitian medical evacuees accompanied by family members.

The state of Florida has ensured the injured evacuees are admitted to area hospitals for treatment and family members are settled in temporary accommodations. Recently, Florida has stated they are unable to accept more patients due to hospital capacity issues and requested other states' assistance in accepting evacuees.

What can Chesterfield Baptist Association churches do?
1.     Pray for these evacuees and family members to know Christ
2.     Pray for the many workers as they provide sacrificial service
3.     Pray for the thousands and thousands of orphan children, widows, elderly
4.     Participate with some credible organization to provide food and other daily needs of the family members
5.     Be creative in seeing how your church can turn this crisis into a mission opportunity

Southern Baptist Update
The Kentucky and Mississippi medical teams arrived in Port-au-Prince Monday (2/1/10). After setting up a pharmacy, the teams are ready to begin seeing patients on Tuesday (2/2/10). Two more teams will leave the U.S. on Wednesday, including one from South Carolina.

Upcoming Evangelistic Opportunities

The Great Commission starts at home. The Chesterfield Baptist Association churches will begin a journey to bring every person in Chesterfield County into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This journey is guided by a process with five Biblical mileposts:

♦Praying | Every church praying for lost people

♦Engaging | Every believer sharing as a trained witness

♦Connecting | Every lost person receiving a witness

♦Celebrating | Every church celebrating every salvation result

♦Disciple Making | Every church intentionally investing in the lives of

new believers and equipping them to lead others to Christ
